Artist Spotlight - Tami Chynn

The Dance Radio Network crew met Tami Chynn at the DJ Times Expo in Atlantic City this past summer. We were intrigued by this beautiful blonde with a Jamaican accent. From Kingston, Tami is a 25 year old singer, songwriter and dancer. Her father, Richard Chin, is of Chinese descent with Cherokee ancestry and her mother, Christine Chin is of half Afro-Jamaican and half-British ancestry.

Earlier this year, artist Akon signed her to his label Konvict Muzik. Their collaboration produced the album Prima Donna. The lead single for the album, “Frozen” featuring Akon, was released in August. Remixed by Ralphi Rosario, “Frozen” has climbed rather quickly up the Hot Dance Airplay music charts.

During October, Tami Chynn opened for the New Kids on the Block tour along side Lady GaGa, Natasha Bedingfield and Colby O'Donis. She also appeared in Akon’s recent "I'm So Paid" music video. Find out more about Tami Chynn at www.tamichynn.com.
